We stayed with a good freind, Mannie Roberts while in Cranbrook. He has a new business and pulls around a portable pig roaster and caters pig roasts for large groups of people.

Murray and Nance Brooks have much of their storage space taken up with our stuff that still needs to come down here.

As some of you already know, our last trip up to Canada at the end of March ended up being extended an extra five days because we were not able to bring the Van back across the Canada/USA border.

It is now sitting in our freinds drive in Cardston Alberta.

Butch and Lela took very good care of Carol and I while we were trying to figure out what to do with our situation.

This is a photo of the milking parlor of the Haven Hutterite Colony in Fox Valley, Saskatchewan.
For those who have toured any other dairy you may notice the absolute cleanliness of this parlor. These Hutterites take great pride in their facilities whether it be a hog barn, poultry barn or dairy. Their home are likewise some of the cleanest that Carol and I have seen.

This is a placque of the historic town of Frank Alberta, that in April, 1903 had a large part of a mountain come down and took part of the town and some of it's population. Click on the picture and you can read all about it or look at this link http://www.frankslide.com/info.htmlIt wasn't really a clear morning when we were there so we only see the bottom part of the area where the slab came down from.
It left millions of tons of limestone strewn acros the valley as below.

And it came up the other side of the valley as below.

Well it looks like you were able to have some fun while you had your dilema. Good luck getting it all sorted out if it hasn't been. (We never heard the story)
